The children and families at Formative Years enjoy participating in many special activities and events throughout the year. All of the classrooms get out into the community for field trips. Some of the children’s favorite trips are; exploring the apple orchard and the pumpkin patch, entertaining the residents of local retirement homes with seasonal programs, touring the fire station, and even taking trips to see where some of our children’s parents work.

Each year Formative Years also hosts three family events. An Autumn Fun Fest in the fall, a Cultural Food Fair in the spring and a Family Picnic in the summer. These are all great opportunities to meet other families and for the children to interact outside the normal center day.

While in the classroom the children will learn through play and hands-on activities about a variety of themes, such as; farm, pumpkins, letters, numbers, night animals, community helpers, music, sports, safety, opposites, new friends, dinosaurs, colors, shapes, ponds and swamps, reading and much more. Some special events that take place in the classrooms are a Happy Un-Birthday Party, Top Banana, and a Mardi Gras Party.

Don't let your child miss out on any of the fun.  Enroll today by contacting Stacy at 292-3609 or go to the Request Information section of the website for more information.
